Co-Founder

Prior to founding WCMG Events, Anthony founded Anthony Coppers Communication & Events in 2004 and concurrently became the Managing Partner of Fizz, a high-end, members-only club on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Prior to founding Anthony Coppers Communication & Events, Anthony developed a reputation as an event planner, focusing primarily on corporate and charity clients. During this time, he established himself as a nightlife consultant to a variety of high-end New York establishments.

Anthony began his professional career in fashion marketing in 1998, working as the Marketing Director of Cameleon, in Brussels, Belgium.

Jed Weinstein

Prior to founding WCMG Events, Jed founded Jed Weinstein Presents in 2004, a full-service special events and promotions company in New York City, NY.

Prior to founding Jed Weinstein Presents, Jed served as a Senior Account Executive at Clear Channel Entertainment / SFX Entertainment (CCE/SFX). There, he managed award-winning programs for XM Satellite Radio, Coca-Cola and Schering Plough.

Before CCE/SFX, Jed founded Latin American Sports Camps (LASC) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At LASC, he developed tennis camps for youth in Buenos Aires.

Prior to beginning his professional career, Jed earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, GA. While there he was a member of Emory University's Varsity Tennis and Soccer teams. He is a three-time All American tennis player and a recipient of the Jack F. Smyth Award for Most Outstanding Male Athlete at Emory University.

Our Brit-in-residence, Colin McKenzie joins WCMG Events after 14 years with a global event marketing agency, including 10 years as Marketing Director, London.

Designing global campaigns and marketing incentive programs with brands such as Dell, Motorola, TD Bank, Samsung, Continental Airlines and AXA Equitable, Mr. McKenzie brings a truly international perspective to WCMG.

Colin McKenzie has launched brands for His Highness Sheikh Maktoum of Dubai; produced senior event programs for Michael Dell, CEO Dell Computers; and delivered flawless events associated with iconic brands like Harry Potter, The Matrix Reloaded and Superman Returns for Warner Bros.

Working alongside the managing partners, Colin McKenzie's focus is developing new partnerships that will grow and expand WCMG's portfolio.

Alex Baillie

Alex Baillie

Director of Events, 13th Street Entertainment RDV, Beaumarchais Brasserie and Kiss & Fly Event Spaces

Prior to joining WCMG Events, Alex worked at Buddha Bar in the Meatpacking District of New York City as Banquet & Events Manager, overseeing everything from intimate dinner parties to large-scale corporate buyouts and further developing her venue representation skills.

In addition to venue representation, Alex has significant event development and production experience. She has worked extensively with the New York, South Beach and Aspen Wine & Food Festivals, where she was production manager responsible for all exhibitors at the Grand Tasting. Since arriving in New York City in 2002, Alex has also worked at MKG Productions, Karlitz & Co. and Two Twelve Management & Marketing- all boutique sized companies geared toward extreme client satisfaction.

Alex grew up in Toronto, Canada, finished high school in Switzerland and then moved to the United States, where she graduated from Rollins College, in Orlando Florida, with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations.

Gina La Rochelle

Director of Events, ARENA Event Space

WCMG brought Gina on board for their Venue Management division as Event Director for ARENA Event Space, a purpose designed and transformable event venue. Her experience includes eight years within the event industry located in LA and NYC working for companies such as E! Entertainment, Wolfgang Puck Catering and Events, The Sunset Tower Hotel and The Oak Room @ the Plaza Hotel.

Throughout her event career, Gina has had the opportunity to represent a variety of venues with various capabilities, assisting clients with venue and event management. Some of these events include the Oscars' Governors Ball, Emmy Nominee's Reception, Vanity Fair Golden Globe Reception, Sephora Product Launch, March of Dimes Fundraising Luncheon and HBO Executive dinners.

Gina grew up as a New Englander and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelors of Science. She then pursued a life in Los Angeles for seven years before heading to Manhattan to continue to work on diverse and exciting events.

Jeremy Rumeld

Event Director, SD26

Having just received his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Jeremy joined WCMG Events to assist with event production and execution. He works in the Venue Management division, representing Villa Pacri Event Space.

Although Jeremy is new to the professional field, he has considerable background experience in event planning. His past efforts include planning retreats, philanthropic fundraisers and destination events for the entire student population. These experiences exposed him to a large assortment of venue spaces and a variety of people in the professional world, leaving him well suited for his work with WCMG Events.

Jeremy looks forward to gaining experience in the event planning industry, and to furthering his career as part of the WCMG team.

SaraBeth Janney

WCMG Event and Business Development Coordinator / Director of Events at La Petite Maison

Prior to joining WCMG Events SaraBeth spent the past 8 years as a knitwear designer and merchandiser for Jones Apparel Group and Larry Levin in Manhattan's garment center. In addition she helped the launch of a start-up cashmere company as head designer.

In her spare time she is involved with fundraising initiatives for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and has raised over $40,000 through her fundraising efforts and the production of several benefits for charity. In addition she has served as a mentor for the society's triathlon team over the past 5 years.

Prior to beginning her professional career in New York City, SaraBeth earned her bachelors degree at West Virginia University in Liberal Arts with a focus on Fashion Merchandising and Design. In addition SaraBeth spent time studying in London, England.

Desiree Betancourt

Office Manager

Desiree was WCMG's first hire initially in the role of jack-of-all trades. She now oversees all aspects of office operations including new hire training, employee benefit management and account payables and receivables and is the backbone of WCMG.

Prior to joining WCMG Events, Desiree worked as an event producer for L'Ambigu Event Production Co., Inc. and assisted with public relations, coordination and design at Link Five Television, Inc. While employed at L'Ambigu and Link Five, Desiree's extensive background in the visual and performing arts was a major asset in the production of high-end events in South Florida.

Originating from Miami, Florida, Desiree graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2008 with a BA in Public Relations. During her time at FSU, Desiree was founder and President of Level Dance Co., a non-profit organization that continues to thrive even after her graduation.

Dana Bower

Event Director, Villa Pacri Event Space

Prior to joining WCMG's Venue Management Department, Dana spent the last eight years working in film production. She began her career producing theatre at one of NYC's oldest and most prestigious creative venues, Ensemble Studio Theatre and later moved on to produce independent film at various production companies. In 2007, she launched her own production company that generated a variety of short films and web content. One of her films premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Her involvement with the Tribeca Film Festival immersed her in the film festival world where she programmed, coordinated and produced events at Tribeca Film Festival and the Hampton's Film Festival. In addition, Ms. Bower was one of the founders of Tribeca Cinema's Gotham Screen Film Festival. Her proven strengths in creative production and direction has allowed her to make a smooth transition to the world of event planning, design and execution. Recently, she executed events at venues throughout Manhattan including The Cooper Square Hotel, The Hudson Hotel, Hotel Gansevoort Miami, Tenjune and Espace. Dana is thrilled to join the WCMG Events Team. She looks forward to serving her highly valued clients at New York City's premiere events company.
